SOUS CHEF

Roamers Caterers are a rapidly expanding Event Catering Company with a growing reputation for our food and service. We are looking for an individual who wants the opportunity to develop with the business and potentially move into a Head Chef role. Our Chefs
Ability to confidently lead the kitchen team, working effectively under pressure.
Passionate about creating and delivering high quality food.

Be able to deliver a first rate consistent meal experience.

Responsibilities
Prepare, cook and present great food in accordance with our standards.
Take control of food and staff costs, constantly seeking ways to improve cost ratios, whilst improving food quality.
Desire to constantly improve the food standards and appearance.
Manage all associated food preparation and event paperwork to ensure all required food and equipment are supplied to each event.
Champion kitchen team training and development.
Taking pride in maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety, completing all associated paperwork in adherence to regulation standards.

Minimum Requirements
Three years industry experience.
An enthusiasm to learn and grow with the business.
Intermediate to advanced chef skills.
Full clean driving licence and own transport.

Hours
Core hours are Tuesday to Sunday, with time off in lieu will be given for any additional hours worked. Occasional work on a Monday, depending on events.

OTE circa £25k for the right candidate including attractive salary and bonus scheme.

FOOD PRODUCTION OPERATIVE / FOOD PREPARATION ASSISTANTS

This is a perfect role for a candidate who is either newly qualified or who is looking for experience in the industry and a challenge. Working directly with the Head Chef and MD will be a great learning opportunity for you.

We are looking for an individual who wants to be proud of the work they produce and develop their cheffing skills in a supportive environment. You don’t need lots of experience (we provide the training) but you do need to be energetic, enthusiastic and dedicated to delivering to our standards. Additionally, you will be presentable, positive and have excellent spoken English.

Hours
Wednesday and Thursday, 12 hours per week – overtime available.
During busy periods, some Friday shifts are required.

£8.50 per hour, depending on age, rising to £9.50 per hour upon completion of training.

 

TEAM LEADERS

Do you have experience waitressing and managing teams? Are you able to cope under pressure, and lead by example? If so, our Team Leader role is for you.

Hours
Usually Thursday to Sunday between 12.00pm and 8.00pm – dependent on events

Pay up to £10.00 per hour (plus holiday pay of approx. 12% extra). Pay dependent on age and experience.

CASUAL WAITRESS / WAITER

Hours
Usually between Wednesday and Sunday between 11.00am and 8.00pm – are dependent on events. Work is casual so the hours are flexible to your lifestyle,

Pay up to £8.50 per hour (plus holiday pay of approx. 12% extra). Pay based on age and experience.

FREELANCE & EVENT CHEFS

Are you experienced and confident Chef, looking for extra cash to supplement your current job? Or are you a retired chef looking for a bit of pocket money? Are you adaptable, able to deliver deadlines and proud of the food you cook? If so, then this is the role for you.

Pay up to £22 per hour, depending on age and experience.

COMMIS CHEF

This is a perfect role for a candidate who is either newly qualified or who is less experienced in the industry but looking for a new challenge. Working directly with the Head Chef and MD will be a great learning opportunity for you.

Responsibilities
Complete basic food preparation duties, including vegetables, buffet items and starters, to defined quality standards.
Complete all associated food preparation, health and safety paperwork.
Provide chef support at events.
Manage deliveries and stock levels.
Load and unload the van for events.
Create event load lists and buying lists.
Having fun being part of an effective team.

Minimum Requirements
One year in any industry.
Basic chef skills are desirable, however, training will be given.
Full clean driving licence and own transport.
Excellent English (written and spoken).

Hours
Thursday to Sunday, 20 hours per week – overtime available.

Pay up to £8,320 per annum. Pay based on age and experience.

BARMAN / BARMAID
