WEDDING AND EVENTS MANAGER
Weddings and Events Manager
Are you a highly organised and flexible individual, able to cope with heavy workloads? Are you committed, driven and looking for a role with variety and opportunity in the Events Management/hospitality area then this is the role for you. You will be working closely with the Head Chef but will need to be confident, possess a can-do attitude and be able to use your own initiative.
Roamers Caterers are a forward-looking Event Management, Catering and Bar Services Company with a growing reputation for great food and service. Every employee is known to the Managing Director and we pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional service for our clients. We achieve this through recruiting and retaining high calibre staff all focussed on making sure our food and service are delivered to the highest standards. As a Wedding and Events Manager, you will be responsible for the event planning to make sure this happens. You will be the face of Roamers to the client so we are looking for a genuine desire to exceed our customers’ expectations with great enthusiasm and energy. You must have a passion to consistently provide a first-rate and professional service to our customers.
We are seeking an individual on a part-time basis (28 hours a week) until February 2020, when we will recruit for a permanent full-time member of staff. This temporary role could be the perfect opportunity for someone to demonstrate their abilities to do the role if they desire.
As this role will require an ability to manage a high amount of tasks and projects we need an individual with either experience in the catering industry or managing multiple projects. In addition to this, you will have first-rate computer skills as you will be using various systems, including Excel, Google Suite, Xero and Zoho. We are offering an excellent remuneration as you will be expected to take responsibility for your job area and the staff required to deliver our events, with limited management involvement. Being able to manage yourself and others, to a high standard, is absolutely key to this role.

Our Event Manager will
Have great attention to detail and be highly organised.
Be able to confidently manage multiple teams and events, in different locations.
Be computer literate with experience using Excel and cloud technology.
Be passionate about working in hospitality and enjoy making our customers happy.
Be an excellent verbal communicator.
Be able to build relationships with customers, venues and suppliers.
Provide first-rate customer service.
Plan and deliver successful events in accordance with our promised standards.
Manage all associated event paperwork.
Oversee team training and development.
Support sales and marketing.
Leading multiple teams to ensure the delivery of 5-star rated events.
Up to 28 days holiday pro rata.
One day off a year for charity work.

At least, three years industry experience or five years project management experience.
Driven to support the growth of the business.
A desire to take on responsibility.
Experience managing and leading people.
Full clean driving licence and own transport.
Excellent English (written and spoken).
£1600-£1800 gross per month, depending on age and experience.
CASUAL WAITRESS / WAITER

Pay up to £8.50 per hour (plus holiday pay of approx. 12% extra). Pay based on age and experience.
Do you have experience waitressing and managing teams? Are you able to cope under pressure, and lead by example? If so, our Team Leader role is for you.
Usually Thursday to Sunday between 12.00pm and 8.00pm – dependent on events
Pay up to £10.00 per hour (plus holiday pay of approx. 12% extra). Pay dependent on age and experience.
FREELANCE & EVENT CHEFS
Are you experienced and confident Chef, looking for extra cash to supplement your current job? Or are you a retired chef looking for a bit of pocket money? Are you adaptable, able to deliver deadlines and proud of the food you cook? If so, then this is the role for you.
Pay up to £22 per hour, depending on age and experience.
BARMAN / BARMAID

FOOD PRODUCTION OPERATIVE / FOOD PREPARATION ASSISTANTS
Roamers Caterers are a rapidly expanding Event Catering Company with a growing reputation for our food and service. This is a perfect role for a candidate who is either newly qualified or who is looking for experience in the industry and a challenge. Working directly with the Head Chef and MD will be a great learning opportunity for you.
We are looking for an individual who wants to be proud of the work they produce and develop their cheffing skills in a supportive environment. You don’t need lots of experience (we provide the training) but you do need to be energetic, enthusiastic and dedicated to delivering to our standards. Additionally, you will be presentable, positive and have excellent spoken English.

We achieve this through recruiting and retaining high calibre staff all focussed on making sure our food and service are presented to exacting standards. Our chefs are the key to our success and you will be responsible for your assigned food preparation.

Wednesday and Thursday, 12 hours per week – overtime available.
During busy periods, some Friday shifts are required.
£8.50 per hour, depending on age, rising to £9.50 per hour upon completion of training.
